What do you mean by "I had no luck submitting a support ticket"? You either have support or you don't, and if you don't have support you most likely won't be getting the patch (unless it's posted on a public-facing KB).

Re: UEM not backing up Office products
Hi RachelW,
That extra "General" folder is indeed the culprit here. Your GPO is configured correctly (as it should be pointing to the "General" folder in the share), but the Management Console's configuration share setting should be pointing to the share itself (rather than to the "General" folder.)
Does your current Management Console "DEM configuration share" setting look like this?
If so, can you remove that "\general", and move the folders from your screenshot into the "temp\general" folder? (After making sure you have a backup, even though this is a test environment...)
Re: vRO 7.6 Permissions Patch
I visited the page to submit a ticket and was unable to progress. Why this is, I do not know. While I am pursuing this issue for my company, this account is not connected to any of the products or contracts my company handles.
If I have to submit a support ticket, I will follow that thread. I was hoping this would save me some time, as a coworker has had similar issues with submitting support tickets.
Re: vRO 7.6 Permissions Patch
You need to use an account which is tied to your products and has permission to open support requests. So you will need to locate those individuals within your company and either have them open the SR and list you as a contact, or give you permission inside their MyVMware portal to open SRs.

This is a duplicate of the thread you previously started here. Please don't create duplicate threads.
Re: Get-hvlocalsession for multiple users
Hi Lucd,
As per your instruction. I tried below script
For Login Time:
$users = Get-Content -path D:\hlist.txt
$events=Get-HVEvent -HvDbServer $eventdb -TimePeriod week -MessageFilter "logged in to a new session"
$events.events | where{$users -contains $_.UserName} |
select @{N="Emp Id";E={$_.UserName.Split('\')[1]}},
@{N="Login Time";E={$_.eventtime}}
For Logoff time:
$users = Get-Content -path D:\hlist.txt
$events=Get-HVEvent -HvDbServer $eventdb -TimePeriod week -MessageFilter "logged off machine"
$events.events | where{$users -contains $_.UserName} |
select @{N="Emp Id";E={$_.UserName.Split('\')[1]}},
@{N="Logoff Time";E={$_.eventtime}}
Its working but I need both login and logout time in a single script. How to do that?
Re: VMWare Performance Under Linux?
I may try out the latest debian too. When I last compared debian and Ubuntu's new installation, Ubuntu was so simple and intuitive that I simply chose it at the time. Others were suggesting debian years ago too, but Ubuntu was a piece of cake to setup at the time. debian was more involved. I wanted something quick to setup and play with at the time, so I chose Ubuntu. Ubuntu, if nothing else, remains one of the easiest Linux distros to install and maintain.
Re: vRA 8.1 - iaas rest api returning "Invalid mime type" error
curl -k -s -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -H "Authorization: Bearer $access_token" "https://vra8.corp.local/iaas/api/tags"
worked fine for me.
Re: Copy-VMGuestFile gives errors with new VMware Tools
Moderator: Thread moved to the PowerCLI area.
Re: vmk(n) -- portgroup (OpaqueNetwork NDVS)
So you want an equivalent of that output as something like a CSV file?
PowerCLI is likely to be the simplest method, plus that area of the forums is busy - as a moderator I will move this thread to that area.
Duplicate IP Address
Hi All,
I have an odd issue with my SRM virtual appliance v8.3.1.
It's been running for a month already without any issues when suddenly it lost network connectivity. I did spend a lot of time troubleshooting and I don't see any misconfiguration at all. Interface, routes and services are all good.
I tried bringing down the interface and bringing it up again, and while it is in the process of bringing the interface up, it complained about duplicate IP address in the network. The interface went up anyways. I'm pretty sure the IP address assigned to this SRM is not being used somewhere in my network.
Does anyone have experience this issue? Could be a bug with this version?
Thanks,
Re: Copy-VMGuestFile gives errors with new VMware Tools
Which PowerCLI version are you using?
And in which PowerShell version is the script running?
Re: Can't expand window of VMware Workstation 15 Player
I wonder if you are being restricted by Workstation Player not supporting the “stretch guest” option, I’ve read about this in multiple threads here before...
Re: TEP interfaces on Nested Virtual ESXi to physical network
Glad to help
Re: vSphere 7, unable to stop syslog service.
vManCH, SR has been logged on your behalf and having you and @nicholas1982 as additional contacts.
Re: Get-hvlocalsession for multiple users
Do the events also include the stationId?
Then you could all the events (logon and logoff) and sort on stationId and time.
Re: vmk(n) -- portgroup (OpaqueNetwork NDVS)
yes, csv file, but first i have to get the right data than i can export it easely
Re: vmk(n) -- portgroup (OpaqueNetwork NDVS)
Did you already verify if the esxcli command in Verify the Transport Node Status returns the required information?
If it does you could use the Get-EsxCli cmdlet to retrieve the info and export it to a CSV.
Re: I'm getting an Unsupported 16-Bit Application Error.
Current OS Build is 19041.572
Workstation 16 but 15 did the same thing
The exact error messages is "Cannot start or run due to an incompatibility with 64-bit versions of windows. Please contact the software vender to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available." My laptop has Workstation player 15 and it works just fine so I'm confused haha.
